1. I’m more of a runner than a jogger. Can this treadmill handle faster speeds?
Definitely. This is a great choice for runners. With a top speed of 19 km/h and a powerful 2.75 CHP motor, it can easily handle everything from steady-paced runs to more intense interval training without feeling like it’s struggling.

2. My biggest worry is space. How easy is it really to fold up and store?
This is one of the best features of the Trainer 9.0. It’s designed with Proform’s SpaceSaver® technology, which means it folds up vertically in one simple step after your workout. This frees up valuable floor space, making it a perfect fit for a living room, spare room, or garage where you can’t have it down all the time.

3. Running indoors can feel tough on my joints. How good is the cushioning?
We get asked this a lot, and it’s a key reason people love this treadmill. It has ProShox™ cushioning built into the deck, which is designed to reduce the impact on your knees and ankles with every step. It makes for a much more comfortable and forgiving run compared to pounding the pavement outside.

4. What does ‘iFit® Coach™ Ready’ actually mean? Do I need other gadgets?
‘iFit Ready’ means the treadmill is designed to connect seamlessly with the iFit app on your own tablet or smartphone (which you can place on the built-in holder). With an iFit subscription, you can access thousands of trainer-led workouts from around the globe, and the app can even auto-adjust your treadmill’s speed and incline. It’s a fantastic way to stay motivated!

5. I want to build it myself. Is the assembly very complicated?
The treadmill comes with clear instructions for self-assembly, and many of our customers are happy to do it themselves. However, if you’d prefer a completely hassle-free setup and want to be sure it’s done perfectly, you can add our professional assembly service right at the checkout.

6. Will it be noisy? I’m conscious of my family and neighbours.
It’s designed to be as quiet as possible for a home environment. The 2.75 Mach Z™ motor is engineered for smooth power delivery, which helps keep noise to a minimum. For the best results, we always recommend placing any treadmill on a floor protection mat, which can further dampen vibrations.

7. I’m quite tall. Is the running area big enough for a long stride?
Yes, it’s designed for a wide range of users. The running deck measures 51cm wide by 140cm long, which is a spacious surface. It gives you plenty of room for a comfortable, natural stride without you feeling like you have to shorten your steps or run too close to the front.

8. Does that little cooling fan actually make a difference?
It really does! On a tough run, having the built-in CoolAire™ fan providing a direct breeze can be a game-changer. It helps keep you more comfortable, allowing you to focus on your workout and potentially push on for a little bit longer.

9. How do I track my heart rate on it? Does it have hand sensors?
This model is compatible with modern heart rate monitors like the iFit SmartBeat™ armband. This gives you a much more accurate reading than traditional hand-grip sensors. Please note that the heart rate armband is an optional extra and is sold separately.

10. What’s the story with the warranty? Is there anything I need to do?
Proform offers a great warranty for peace of mind: 5 years on the motor and 2 years covering parts and labour. The important thing to remember is to register your new treadmill on the manufacturer’s website within 28 days of purchase to activate the full warranty cover.
