Our story begins back in 2008, fuelled by a passion for fitness and a desire to bring quality equipment to Irish homes and businesses. What started small has grown significantly over the years. Below, trace the journey and key milestones that have shaped Gymgear.ie into the trusted fitness partner we are today, proudly based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Our Story

Over the Years

2008

Founded

Gymgear.ie is founded and we begin working online from our home and garage hiring out gym equipment to customers and delivering to their homes. We provided Vibroplates, Treadmills, Exercise Bikes, Spin Bikes, Crosstrainers and Rowing Machines on a local level.

2009

First Commercial Range

We expanded our commercial range and began Nationwide delivery service to homes and business premises.

2010

Including Major brands

We started to sell Gym Equipment and working with brands such as BH Fitness, Reebok and Kettler. At this point we had to move from our garage and rented a warehouse unit in Rock Industrial Park, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

2013

Own Warehouse with Showroom in Urlingford

We started to sell Gym Equipment and working with brands such as BH Fitness, Reebok and Kettler. At this point we had to move from Cashel and rented a Larger warehouse unit in the Urlingford Business Park,Urlingford,Kilkenny.

2018

New Ecommerce Store Launch

Gymgear.ie was founded, a new e-commerce website for Gym Equipment Sales Only. We expanded our range and added a range of Strength Equipment. We sourced new suppliers such as CardioPro, Nordictrack, Proform, Weider and Premier Strength.

2020

First Retail Shop

We opened our first Retail Shop in Ard Gaoithe Business Park, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. Here we learned that there was a need for a larger range of Gym and fitness products and equipment in our local area but we needed a bigger showroom to showcase them.

2022

New 3000sq ft Showroom in Business Park Clonmel

We purchased and moved to a larger premises in Gortnafleur Business Park, Clonmel, which now features a 3000 sq ft showroom and a total facility size of 8000 sq ft including our adjacent warehouse. This upgrade allowed us to offer an enhanced in-store experience and efficient Click & Collect service for our customers. During this time, we also expanded our range of Cardio and Strength Equipment, partnered with new suppliers, and introduced a wider selection of fitness accessories such as dumbbells, resistance bands, and sports products for Hockey, Rugby, GAA, and Darts.
